Application notes suck

It should have taken two seconds but it didn't. Connecting to Wi-Fi isn't intuitive at all, and the app's FAQ section was clearly not written by someone who speaks very good English. That's not an insult, just a statement of fact. product rev. not from America, so that makes sense. There is a reviewer who wrote how to **SET UP YOUR WIFI DEVICE CORRECTLY**. Basically you have to hold the button for 6 seconds, release it and hold it for another 6 seconds. It should flash quickly. You can just hold the button for much more than 6 seconds and go straight to fast flashing. AFTER A QUICK FLASH, THE DEVICE SHOWS AS A WIFI NETWORK THAT YOU CAN CONNECT TO. Enter the default password "12345678" (e.g. from your iPhone's WiFi settings), THEN return to the app and go to the "Add a device" function. Ready. I recommend doing all of this before you even think about connecting to whatever device you bought it for (for me, for the garage). Pull an old 12v adapter out of almost any old appliance, cut the spade, remove the bare wires, connect them to the relay switch where it is labeled GND and 12V. I'll let you know which is which. Once the LED flashes, you know you have power. The rest should be cake (using my instructions above). After that YMMV depending on what you are going to connect the relay switch to. For myself, I simply removed the garage door knob from the wall and replaced it. One user was struggling to connect a relay switch and garage door button in parallel, which didn't make sense to me since this relay switch has a "key" button that works like your new door opener button (besides the added Wi-Fi capability certainly ). Much luck. PS I don't know how much I trust putting my WiFi credentials into this app, but that's just me.
