The material is comfortable - it looks smooth and shiny, like swimwear, but thicker. My daughter liked the color but it was MUCH smaller than the size of the product. I ordered size XL (12-14) and it barely fit my 9 year old. She's tall for her age, which is why I ordered TWO sizes up. The swimsuit fitted her body perfectly, but was tight under the armpits, according to her. I didn't want to make her uncomfortable so we returned it.
