The print function worked fine, didn't scan

I've been using this cable for about a month and it worked great with print/scan functions. One day the scanning function just stopped working and I did all sorts of troubleshooting with the printer manufacturer to find out the cause. Lol I replaced the USB cable and it worked great. So now I'm stuck with this long printer cable that's not doing what I need it to. Do not purchase this item if you need to scan.
