Review on TPA3116 200W HiFi Bluetooth Amplifier Module - Dual Channel 100W+100W AUX Digital Home Audio Amp Board with LC Filter DC8-24V for DIY Speakers by Jordan Weakland

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Better than the Revain BT receiver it replaced!

Ordered this to hook up to an old set of speakers in my office. I was very impressed that *everything* I needed to assemble was in the box. Assembly was very easy, resulting in a sleek graphite body with in/out descriptors. I found it good that it has positive/negative screw terminals instead of RCA connections for speakers - compatibility right down to the bare cable. The DC input has a wide range so I was able to take any wart style DC plug and use that. Bluetooth was stupidly easy, I didn't have to guess names or hold down the calibrate button or type in a string of numbers to connect, it just worked. lowest setting. I realize this sounds like a pretty simple thing to get excited about, but anyone who has used bluetooth speakers has struggled with the issue of accidentally connecting their phone/computer to a device, that he didn't intend. Therefore, you must either remove the device from your phone/computer or completely disconnect the device. With the exception of many other Bluetooth speakers/receivers/amplifiers (like the Revain Basics it replaces) there is no off switch. With this BT amp I can turn on music on my phone, go to the amp and turn a knob which turns on the device which then auto detects it so the music jumps to my speakers and I control the volume. Volume, all on one button, all in one interaction.

Pros
  • Receiver and Amplifier
Cons
  • Don't remember
