Review on πŸŽ’ Maya 10 Litre Women's Daypack by Gregory Mountain Products by Marc Cahoon

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good backpack but the old version is better

This backpack is very comfortable when properly fastened. I compared it to the Osprey Tempest 9 and the previous Gregory Maya 10. All three were available from Revain. While the Tempest has more bells and whistles, both Mayas were slightly more comfortable and conformed better to the contour of my back. The waist straps are in a better (lower) position than on the Tempest, which helps carry the load better. However, I like the previous Gregory Maya 10 better than this one for the following reasons: stretch pockets on the sides, two narrow ones for water bottles (which was one of the main ones I needed). The previous Maya had fairly large side pockets. See photo (grey - new Maya, blue - previous Maya). The bottom of this backpack is narrow, which may be convenient, but makes packing difficult. The front stretch pocket of this backpack is good but not as big as the previous Maya. . I gave it 4 stars because some of the cons are related to my preferences and the packaging is quite convenient. This Maya style has large hip pockets, but I still prefer to put my phone in the small zipped pocket at the top. Also, I really want Gregory to make Maya a 10 in black. Not all of us prefer pink, teal, blue, etc. Overall the quality is excellent, like Gregory's, but I'll be returning these and keeping the old version for myself.
