Side pockets too narrow

The side pockets are narrow and don't stretch enough, even for a thin Smart water bottle. So if you're not using your hydration bladder, you can't carry water around, which is pointless for a backpack. The rest of the backpack looked fine. Too bad it was done with this mistake.

Pros
  • Nylon lining
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

Fantastic Backpack - Camping

I love this backpack! I wanted to order 16L to replace another Gregory backpack I've been using for 9 years now. The 10L is roomy enough for day hikes and small enough for long days on the bike. Rear airflow is pretty good, fits well, feels nice. The hip pockets are large enough to hold my snacks and a phone with a backup battery and cord, as well as other small items. I'm very happy with it!

Pros
  • 100% Nylon
Cons
  • Big and Chunky

Disappointed good for outdoors

I have several Gregory backpacks. In fact, I only buy Gregory backpacks because they suit me. Since I have Maya 16 which fits so well I figured Maya 10 would work as well. I got Maya 10 for air travel. The dimensions are correct and fit under an airplane seat. The backpack was uncomfortable because the shoulder straps are wider than the Maya 16s I have. This difference in width makes the backpack very uncomfortable for me. Sure, other women might find it comfortable, but I hate shoulder straps…

Pros
  • Speed Clip Hydration Hangar - quick release hydration system compatible with Gregory 3D Hydro Tank
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Good backpack but the old version is better

This backpack is very comfortable when properly fastened. I compared it to the Osprey Tempest 9 and the previous Gregory Maya 10. All three were available from Revain. While the Tempest has more bells and whistles, both Mayas were slightly more comfortable and conformed better to the contour of my back. The waist straps are in a better (lower) position than on the Tempest, which helps carry the load better. However, I like the previous Gregory Maya 10 better than this one for the following…
