I don't know how difficult it is for a manufacturer to find a non-corrosive food grade screw for 3 cents.
The lid screw is exposed to hot steam every time coffee is made, it corrodes when it arrives in the packaging. Why doesn't this manufacturer find a stainless screw for the lid handle? I have to use a ceramic salad plate to cover the top.
