First of all, it doesn't smell like a dirty baby diaper at all. If your child can't shake flowery, musty stools, then it probably is. The smell is strong though, so I'd advise those who don't like heavily scented sprays to stay away. Second, I really like this product. (Not only) I have a number of products that I apply to my hair before straightening and this is part of the process and I also have several ghd straighteners so I like to use them hand in hand. I don't notice any harshness with this product, but then again I have very thick, coarse hair so it can have the opposite effect on fine/fine hair. I originally purchased this item from Sephora for $22. If you also look at the Sephora review, the average is 4 out of 5 stars for this product from true beauty junkies. So if you'd rather pay less and are open to a stronger scent, I suggest giving it a try. I will continue to buy at a lower price knowing this product works for me.
