When I first received the box, setting up the webcam was very easy. All I had to do was take the webcam out of the box and plug the USB port into my laptop. When I first connected my webcam and opened the camera app, I saw that the image quality was a bit pixelated compared to my Logitech, but that was simply because I was in a dimly lit area. When I added more lighting to the setup, it was able to capture the right video. The only problem I've found with the webcam is that it overly softens the video, but that's not really that big of a deal if you're using the webcam for general purposes like video chatting with friends and family. The reason I bought the webcam was to use it as a security camera and for that purpose it works very well. Footage is smooth on capture and output. The wide angle allows me to include several people in the picture, which is very useful. I've attached some photos and videos so you can see what I'm talking about. To be honest I'm very impressed with this webcam. I bought it with not very high expectations due to the price but I was just blown away. The camera is very easy to use, just plug it in and you're done. Image quality is also pretty good and super detailed. The image is not oversaturated and the colors are perfectly calibrated to display a soft yet natural image with excellent resolution. The microphone input is also great. I needed this because I am currently working from home and need to attend business meetings and all my colleagues could hear me perfectly through the webcam mic. This webcam also has a very good 110 degree wide angle lens which I find very useful for my purposes. The lock on the underside of the webcam is also very practical. The latch offers universal compatibility with any monitor or surface you need to place your webcam on and also offers an adjustable angle. I've used this on both my PC (running Windows 10) and Mac and the webcam worked on both without a single issue. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a cheap and reliable webcam.
