I used gorilla tape on the frame and mounts. Since my walls are paneled and uneven, things didn't go so well for the first few days. Although the picture frames had fallen, the lamp was firmly attached to the wall. Drilling is not required. He doesn't hold a picture. Almost like. The lighting at night is beautiful in any 1 of 3 settings. Used it for several days on 1 charge. The cord is long enough to fit into a nearby outlet, so that's a plus. Although I received 1 remote control for each lamp, 1 remote control can control both of them separately. (So if you use multiple lights but don't use the remote for all but 1, you can still control them). You must be close to the IR light for the remote to work. The charging time depends on how long the light was on before charging. The one that is still charging is currently running for over 2 hours and is still charging. I am happy and have many compliments on the wall/lighting in general. *whole wall not shown*
