unusable memory card reader

sent out of 5, but one type does not work well enough to transfer large amounts of data. waste of money. Fortunately, Amazon has a good return policy, especially for such cheap items.

Too tight? Use thumbnail!

Yes, one of the five was "back to back". (I used to have a plastic injection molding machine). So I knew I had to use my thumbnail to scrape off the rest of the lining on the lip. All of them are great for different devices and slots. Next-gen design suggestion: lengthen the collar to better protect the protruding microSD card.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • It's hard to remember, but it was

Memory card reader So slow

So slow. I was able to achieve write speeds of around 4.5 MB/s via a USB 3.0 port on a laptop with a Core i7 processor (Thinkpad T460p). We don't read much better. More than 3 times slower than the old micro SD/SD reader they had to replace. I will be returning one of the two batches I purchased and will get a proprietary reader instead.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Requires socket

Expect problems but cheap

Good thing you can get 5 so cheap. I can't even put small SD cards in the damn thing. I think 1 star is very generous. I knew it would happen. Well, all 5 guys in the trash. You really do get what you pay for.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Hardly any instructions

ONLY SUITABLE FOR THE GASKET!

I've used these mini sandisk readers and the microchip is fully seated in the reader. The chip cannot be fully inserted and protrudes outwards. They are best suited for the garbage can!

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Makes me angry

Low quality in computers and accessories

2 out of 5 were not registered when connected to the USB port. When the micro SD is in, you can't tell if it's in or out, and it doesn't go all the way in, it stays sticking out. Cheap plastic, bad design. So 3 out of 5 works for me but I don't think they will last long because of the cheap material.

Pros
  • Nicely
Cons
  • Replacement availability

Cheap and they work pretty well

All 5 of mine worked fine when tested straight away. Some are better suited to USB ports than others. They are also taller than my little Kingston who died while playing music through my car stereo's USB port. But now I have 5 cheap hard drives to replace it. Write speed is slow, but what do you expect for $1? I'm glad I found her.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

SAVE YOUR MONEY - There's a reason they're cheap

Save your money. There's a reason the VizGiz 5-pack MicroSD to USB adapters are so incredibly cheap, about $1 each. I messed up the memory card because there is no way to easily remove the card from the adapter (not spring loaded) and the adapter has no stopper to indicate when the card is inserted. The SD card cannot be fully inserted either, so it protrudes halfway unprotected and can break easily.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Functionality

They seem to work fine but some of them seem to be too thick!

They work well but I'm not sure how long lasting they will be! Some of them fit easily into your USB port, but some of them fit tighter and are harder to get into the port! I don't like that I have to force her into port. Never use force, especially when handling computer components or peripheral devices! I would have liked a thinner adapter/card reader, even if it's plastic!

Pros
  • Finally bought
Cons
  • Style 90
