I was fed up with buying cheap headphones that inevitably had a side coming out in less than a month and I just discovered this as I was preparing to replace some cheap Skullcandy headphones again. Why pay $10-$15 for cheap quality headphones when they are only $10 more and have great build quality and great sound quality? I don't use them for studio monitoring, just as a quality replacement for cheap headphones; However, I love hearing small details in my music and was surprised to find them fun. Obviously, like in-ear headphones, these headphones have a relatively flat sound, but I prefer that to the fine detail distortion sometimes found in headphones in this price range. I have to say they sounded particularly dull when I first got them but with some use have started to "seize in" and sound great.
