I had to give this speaker 1 star because the sound quality was below my expectations. I was so disappointed in this speaker that I sent it back. If you want radio sound that's fine, but I like the SOUND. The highs, lows and mids blend WELL together. I didn't find the thing to be in that dynamic. I had to put an equalizer on my phone to get a depth of sound that was negligible at best for me. (I played the JBL Flip 3 with my phone and the sound quality was great without the EQ.) Also, I didn't really like the Sony app on my phone to control the speaker. If I played music on my iPad through the Sony speaker and then did something on my phone, the music would stop playing on my iPad (my iPad is older). This is how the app seems to have worked in the case of a combination of the two connected to a Sony speaker. If I was happy with the sound quality I'd go with it, but it annoyed me and only added to my dissatisfaction with the package. Of course I understand that the sound is individual, so others can be happy with this speaker. not me.
