Good 2 out of 20 hair sticks were slightly bent but not so much that I couldn't use them and I don't think it would be noticeable at all when put in her hair is. This appears to be a manufacturing defect as the pins are strong and inflexible enough not to straighten. While not perfect, for less than $1 a stick, it's acceptable to me. Otherwise, these hair sticks are very detailed and beautiful. Since both sides are decorated the same, there is no "right" or "wrong side", unlike other hair sticks I've bought in the past that have been shaped on one side, not the other! I was also pleased with the 4 hair forks (double hair sticks) included in the set as they are perfect for long and heavy hair like mine. I also appreciated that some of the pairs are in a simpler style, with or without light engraving, making it easier to mix a pair of ornate boning with less charged ones in complex hairstyles: for example, alternating two floral bobby pins with two more geometric simple bobby pins for fixing hairstyles with a French twist. All in all, it's worth the money and I'm very satisfied: Without the two slightly bent rivets I would unfortunately give 5 stars :(
