Useful for custom sized documents, envelopes or things with more than one page

This wasn't in my original ScanSnap (which I LOVE). I've been using mine without it for a few years now, but I noticed one that came with a newer ScanSnap I bought for an office I'm setting up and it seemed like a great feature. Needless to say, I rarely use it, but it's great to have those exact times. Now I can scan envelopes that I want to keep copies of without wrinkling them all, I can scan pay slips that are two pages glued together, and I can scan small, fragile items that don't fit easily. It's not necessary, but it's a nice addition.
