Review on ๐Ÿš— Optimized FRAM Fresh Breeze Cabin Air Filter CF10133 with Arm & Hammer Baking Soda for Select Toyota Vehicles in White by Doug Hook

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works and cheap!

I decided to try installing a cabin air filter myself and ordered this. The filter arrived quickly in the mail and when I opened it I found the filter itself was sealed in a plastic sleeve (most other filters just come in a box - no other protection). Some charcoal powder shook off and fell onto my hands. An instruction manual was included, which made installation very easy. All I did was empty the glove box, pinch the sides and pull forward until it came loose. Remove the plastic cover from the filter and replace the filters. I changed the glove and started the car. The filter made my 8 year old Corolla smell fresh right away, even without turning on the air. I've had it installed for 6 months and although the fresh smell has subsided the air conditioner hasn't had that musty smell yet. I saved myself $50 by installing this simple filter! Easier than even a motor filter (there are always problems aligning and capping!). To be honest I don't know why the dealer and other auto shops charge $60 or more to replace this filter. This is worse than an engine air filter (some cars don't have easy access to the engine air filter compartments and it's worth letting a mechanic do the dirty work) because you can do it yourself in 5 minutes with a $10 filter!

Pros
  • Arm & Hammer baking soda combined with charcoal cleans the outside air passing through the ventilation system
Cons
  • will be added later
