For the most part the blanket is excellent. Very soft and not too heavy considering. I have yet to test the highest settings as 4 gets quite warm. I usually run it at 1 or 2. The controls are a bit odd, so if it's plugged into power without being plugged into a ceiling, the only way to recover is by unplugging it. This means that the ceiling cannot be removed from the control box without reinstalling the power cable. No big deal, just a minor inconvenience. The real reason I gave it 4 stars is because it doesn't have an auto shut off feature. If forgotten, it's a waste of energy at best and a safety hazard at worst. That's the only thing I would change about it.
