Wow, what an excellent sound these headphones play! As a musician on a church service team, I mainly use them as in-ear headphones on stage. When I tried them for the first time I was very happy with the sound. It's very balanced with good clean bass, smooth mids and satisfyingly bright highs (not harsh at all). By the way, the bass isn't overwhelming at all, it's just natural. But on tracks with heavier bass, or when boosted with EQ, the ZSTs handle it with aplomb. In fact, as noted by some reviewers, it's quite difficult to connect the cable plugs to the headphones. Just keep going and you will understand. Helps to edit them under a magnifying glass. In a way the tightness is a good thing as they are unlikely to come loose accidentally! The silicone earbuds are comfortable and isolate outside noise well, but not so much that I can't hear what's going on around me when the music stops. That's right. Just a small note: KZ should indeed include a storage/carrying case, as do many other companies. I did not buy them FAST due to the lack of a case, but I decided to try it. I'm glad I did, but how many other potential buyers decide not to take the plunge because of that one mistake? Still, it deserves five stars, even without the case!
