So this definitely needs to be learned because even though it's called a brush and looks like a brush it's actually not a brush lol you need help styling your hair through the teeth part, which wasn't that hard for me with thinner hair, but I could see someone with thicker hair was having a really hard time. I used it after blow drying to make my hair smoother. My other straightener that I usually use when my hair is wet but I don't think it will work with this one. Reading some other reviews, people have mentioned that the button placement is poor because you can press them while styling your hair, which is true. I've definitely clicked on it more than once, but it seems that either they updated something or the people who mentioned it have a tighter grip than I do, because even though I clicked on it, it actually didn't do anything. It never changed temperature or turned off (you have to hold down the power button for a second or two to turn it off, so unless you hold it down and press the power button at the same time, you never accidentally do that). Overall I love it and will continue to use it after blow drying my hair but it will not be my style.
