Doesn't work well for testers

I didn't have a chance to use this when I bought it and I just opened the box and it didn't work on any of the known good lines. Back late. I don't recommend at all.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Update availability

Defective on arrival at testers

Tested on 3 known good circuits, no light at all. Unplugged my Cisco work phone from my switch, plugged it into the same port, but it didn't light up. Phone connected, working.

Pros
  • Solid surface
Cons
  • Good

Phone Line and LAN Tester

Phone tests worked as advertised but didn't provide much more information than the keypad display that was already built into my phone. I couldn't test the LAN line functions as I don't have any.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Problems

Phone line test went great

Three star rating because half the device worked and the other half didn't. The phone line test went perfectly and helped me rewire my neighbors' lines. Unfortunately, the LAN RJ45 tester does not work at all. Checked on several networks and nothing happens.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Some minor issues

Line Bug 4 Phone and LAN Tester

This is a great phone line tester - I wanted something basic to check the polarity of an RJ-11 jack. This device tests the ringer AC current, polarity and voltage on the line. The device works great. The LAN check is a bit strange. No light good Any light bad - It worked just fine on my Power Over Ethernet LAN port that I use for my wireless access point because it showed no light - You need to switch 568A and check again by going to USOC if it's not all working yet your lan backlight can be…

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Something is wrong with the electrics

Triplet is a decent brand of test equipment and I needed a basic phone line tester for the home as I have switched from Verizon FiOS to Comcast Xfinity X1 for internet, TV and phone communications . The ability to test phone jacks (RJ-11) and network jacks (RJ-45) seemed like a great feature, so I ordered a line tester. My problem is that the tester says ALL my phone jacks are not properly connected (the red LED is on when the tester is connected). For real? I have an RJ-11 connector with two…

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Crumpled
