Not compatible with PS4 controllers

I bought a couple of these cables so my SO and I can play on the PC from the couch when Windows uses the cables, there Windows just returns a USB not recognized device error, but when you use different USB cables on the same USB ports, Windows recognizes the controllers perfectly and they work as expected. Very disappointed that these cables do not work despite the product name being PS4 compatible.
