Review on 🔌 Sabrent Premium 4 Port Black Aluminum USB 3.0 Hub with 30" Cable for iMac, MacBook, PC - Black (HB-MC3B) by Jayson Sharma

This hub works great with my 2013 iMac with one caveat: as mentioned, this USB 3.0 device interferes with my WiFi. When I use this hub, my iMac cannot access the internet over my wireless network. It claims to support connectivity (for macOS) but I can't access anything over the network. To make sure this is the case, I ran an experiment: if I put my hand on the hub and made sure to close it completely, my connection would resume. . My guess is that the hub or hub/cable connection interface is not adequately shielded and is emitting EMI. For now I've switched to a USB 2.0 cable (instead of the USB 3.0 cable that came with it) which makes the hub work with USB 2.0. It doesn't interfere with my WiFi connection. Using USB 2.0 defeats the purpose of a 3.0 hub, but it's better than the alternative.
