This tool has a small design flaw. It has no center relief for the water pump shaft "knob" to release it. This means that once you tighten it on the pulley and then pull the water pump out, the knob on the water pump will loosen, leaving the pulley slightly loose. If the pulley is tensioned enough, the chain tensioner can work, and then the chain will be too tight. This means you can remove the timing cover to reset the tensioner. Removing the timing case cover is why you buy this tool so you don't have to do it in the first place. So, the design flaw basically renders this tool useless. To the manufacturer, please get out the water pump and pulley and redesign this tool so that this doesn't happen to people in the future.
