These gloves appear to be very well made and very durable, but in my opinion they are not TIG gloves. TIG gloves are usually thinner (e.g. goatskin). These YASWELDER gloves bridge the gap between the thicker OK TIG glove and the OK MIG glove. I believe if you do both types of welding this might be a good choice if you only have one pair of gloves. Don't get me wrong, these are good gloves, well made and fit really well, but they don't offer the same mobility as thinner TIG gloves. I had a hard time manually feeding .040 TIG wire with these gloves because I just couldn't feel the wire in my fingers due to the extra padding on my fingers. For this reason, TIG gloves are made thinner. These gloves are also advertised as "stove, oven or grill" and I think that might be the best use for them.
