Good purchase. for my opinion

My 1yr old is a beast. I call him "Destruction Derby" alot lately. He LOVES "2 Chellos", and Lindsay Sterling. I got him this because he was mimicking air chello. He has yet to break anything on it and it's been 2 months. He's 30lbs, and 36in tall. So, the size of a two yr old. He's super strong and can throw this across the room. While, that's not really kosher . . . Nothing broke when it hit the steel front door with a crash so loud it startled the cat.Sure, he thinks its a baby chello, and sometimes a violin . . . He steps on it, bashes the door with it, drops it, throws it, tried to play chello on it with a butter knife for a bow, and sometimes strums it.For $17, I'll keep buying it.**I am tone deaf. I can only time as far as "reasonably taught strings". So, I actually have NO idea if this thing sounds right or not.

Pros
  • Fosters a love for music
Cons
  • May not foster an appreciation for different types of music
