This cable was purchased from Hope's as it provided a more secure attachment to the speaker cable I was plugging into my turntable. After connecting the new wire to my turntable, I attached the ground wire to the receiver. I quickly flipped the power switch on my SX850 only to hear a loud hum coming from my speakers. After re-grounding for a few minutes and making sure all the connections weren't corroded, I plugged my old speaker wire back in and played free humm music. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that this wire was not made of copper wire. The manufacturer took the time to make it look beautiful using cheap materials.
