I read the negative reviews here and thought that this simple item, a sheet of plastic, must have a hidden function not described on its page. So many have complained about blisters, poor fit, this, that, etc. I bought it because most of the time my tablet's screen doesn't recognize that I'm touching it. I have dry skin. I know my secure cellphone never had this problem. So I ordered this protector with reservations because of the negative reviews. I sat down at my desk as soon as it arrived, cleaned the screen with the provided static-control cloth, lined up the cut-out holes with the tablet, and began peeling the bottom sheet off with a wooden ruler instead of a thin one. turned on the mop/map and was done in about ten seconds. No air bubbles, no dust, no big deal! I then tried this before removing the outer protective film. It worked great! My conclusion: Why remove the outer panel? I carefully removed the paper tab attached to it, but left the sheet in place. More protection! Ideal! Highly recommended!
