Review on πŸ‘€ K Source 81800 Towing Mirror F150 2004-2008: Enhance Towing Safety and Visibility by John Ford

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Second pair that doesn't fit

I bought the exact same mirrors for my 2004 F150 in 2014 from "E Trailer". On theirs, the right plastic mirror housing matched the F150's right mirror perfectly, but the left would not stick to the front of the mirror unless I first heated and reshaped the housing with a hot hair dryer to finally get it. match properly. On a recent hike, a driver crossed a yellow line crossing a narrow bridge and his driver's side mirror hit my driver's side mirror. My only damage was a cracked and shattered glass mirror (not the plastic case). So I ordered this "used" 81800 inch mirror exactly the same, which I already had to replace with a broken one. If I just order a piece of glass separately from K-Source, it will cost me about $20 plus change. So. For only a few bucks (5 plus tax) I ordered this entire (used) set from Revain instead. A set of mirrors (body and glass) in perfect condition. BUT. AGAIN. a plastic lip that holds the plastic housing under and around the front underside of the F150 mirror. Don't even come close. Can't use it at all. So instead of going through all the trouble of sending it back and then just ordering the glass from K-Source I just used the glass from that used set and replaced the broken part in my original set. I haven't tried the right hand side to see if they fit as I won't even be using them. If the old plastic case ever wears out or gets damaged I might try again to "dry" the plastic so that it does Fits on my truck's mirrors (Shi sh) This is a clear marriage of goods from the manufacturer, 2 in 2 does not fit, no matter where this brand was bought. (They are made in Taiwan)
