Review on ⌛ Steampunk Mechanical Skeleton Pocket Watch by ShoppeWatch by Dan Weeman

Revainrating 5 out of 5

intricate, beautiful, stylish and vintage steampunk

I have read other reviews on this product, one review said this watch was fine; In size, it's a treat. but it's not exactly easy, and it's not very difficult either. I'm sure if you look at the details of this watch Amazon has the measurements and weight listed somewhere so measure it on a piece of paper and see for yourself if you find it dainty. but that was just a reference to other reviews I read. it's about the size of the average face on a men's wristwatch. now for my rating. APPEARANCE: My watch looks almost exactly like the picture. beautiful matt shine on the bronze ring on the outside. and the interiors look very shiny and gold/bronze/don't know what to call it. The hands, as you can see, are small or thin, so it's sometimes difficult to see the details of their curves in low light, but it's still easy to tell the time. Hour, minute and second hands are very easy to distinguish from each other. It looks beautiful as a necklace and fantastic as a pocket watch. other people have stated in their reviews that they fear their chain will break if they use it as a pocket watch. The chain is small and appears to be intended to be used as a necklace. So if you intend to get this watch as a pocket watch I would recommend going with something more durable but the chain can hold. the chain is metal and i have showered with the chain over 7 times, worn it as a bracelet and found no green rings on my skin and the chain is still the same color as when i received it. So I don't think it's fake or painted metal. it is legal. I probably wouldn't want any part of the watch to get wet. It's interesting to watch the small pieces on the front and back of the watch move through the glass. TIME ACCURACY: I've had the watch for a week now and it shows the exact time I set it when I set it. received on the first day. the instructions say to turn the knob every 24 hours; I rotated them every 21-28 hours. So if you forget to turn it the same second you wake up or sleep each day, the clock will still be fine and maintain its accuracy. Even if you forgot to turn it all day, resetting the time is very easy. The instructions say to twist until you feel the tension. First you curl up and say "er, every twist feels tight," you'll know what tension means because it'll seem like he's about to stop twisting altogether. Be firm but very careful when turning the knob to avoid breaking the mainspring. I didn't break mine and I hope I never break it.

Pros
  • Beautiful construction
Cons
