I really like this light. At 2700 Kelvin, it has a better color temperature than many other battery-buffered emergency light bulbs. And the light when powered by battery appears to be the same color temperature. And it has an innovation not found in other makes and models of emergency light bulbs. In fact, it has a built-in switch that allows the user to turn on the light themselves, no additional devices are required. This, together with the 2700K color temperature, is worth the price of an incandescent bulb. Apparently this would be a very useful light in the early stages of a permanently disconnected network situation. It uses 8 watts, so the battery can probably last longer than a 12-watt or 15-watt light bulb. And maybe it can work as a cooler too. But I would like a model for 15 watts. It would be perfect. I have to say that even though the one I bought (I bought this one. There was no advertising or "test" nonsense and I'm not getting anything for this review) was made in China, it "feels" a lot to me American at its best meaning of that word. I think if you try it you will see what I mean.
