The idea was good, but the design was extremely bad. I bought these to attach to LitraTorch and Platypod Max flashlights as seen in some of the Platypod ads. First, when tightening in the platypod, the silver screws froze to the base and had to be unscrewed with pliers. The knurled nuts were practically useless. Attempting to adjust the lights/goosenecks (they seemed particularly inflexible) resulted in the main screw on the left being tightened even more than was set to Max and loosening the gooseneck screw on the right, causing itself the light moved. The setup also interfered with the downward movement of my macro camera lens, which was not as long and relatively high on the top's ball head, and also restricted the camera's side-to-side movement. Eventually, since goosenecks typically use Max screw holes, there is only one middle leg in front and the platypod isn't as stable. My camera almost fell over to the right, even though all legs were level. I can't believe this setup has been thoroughly tested considering how quickly these bugs started appearing. I'll be returning them and buying some mini tripods or other stands for my LitraTorch flashlights.
