Used to raise the bed frame and mattress to store things under the bed. I've used wooden blocks before, so this is definitely better in terms of aesthetics and the ability to move them around easily. And holds the bed well. I have a fairly heavy metal bed frame and they haven't bowed yet. However, the material is much lighter and more brittle than I had hoped. The space where the legs rest on the block is a three by three (slightly smaller) gap and there is no real reinforcement underneath. Just a few thin extra plastic ribs. The blocks are completely hollow and not very thick. If you have a heavy object with legs that are less than 1 inch long, don't use them. It was only a matter of time before the legs pierced the block like a sharp object through cheese. My bed frame legs are two inches long so it shouldn't be a problem. But I wouldn't use them for anything like a dresser or a heavy table.
