I liked the idea of this design but in practice it's really not worth it in my 2015 Subaru Outback. The holder comes with 3 sets of foam pads to install in the cup holder hole in my car, but it still moves and starts to fall to one side when I have something in the extra cup holder, so I keep adjusting it to accommodate that he tightened will not tip over. It's actually not very safe to hold a full 16 oz (or larger) plastic or metal bottle. The bottom insert opening can hold a small 8oz. a bottle or several smaller items like glasses, but no more. The cup holder also rattles while driving, which annoys me.
