I was struggling to get my computer to work on our big screen TV at 4k@60hz. I've tried high speed HDMI cables which can technically support 4k@60 but I couldn't get my computer to set me that high. When I forced these settings with my graphics card, the screen just went black. It turns out that many computers use older generation HDMI (1.4) instead of the newer 2.0. It's not usually listed in the specs or documentation, so I used this cable on a whim as it allows me to use DisplayPort on my computers (even older generation DP can run at 4k at 60Hz). After trawling through so many bad information forums, this finally fixed the problem for me!
