Power consumption when switched off
A 6 inch flashlight consumes 12.3mA when switched off. This parasitic element is used to power the blue switch LED and touch switch circuitry. The blue LED can be turned off by removing J2 next to the switch. I used a dremmel to remove the clear protective layer over J2 and a grinder from the top 0 ohm resistor layer used as a bridge. The touchdown switch draws 3.51mA. I also found some instabilities in the circuit that caused intermittent flickering after a complete power outage.
