My kids chose these for their iPads. I also bought iPad screen protectors. The problem with these cases is that they are so tight and very close to the corners that when you finally put the case on, which takes some work, they reach the corners of the screen protector. I've tried fitting the body around the edges but the thing is, it's very tight. My kids just fine with the screen protector lifting up in the corners because they love the design of the case. So I think it's good for a child.
