Must be aluminum

Replaces my rusty pan. First of all it had to be aluminum, come on GE! I lined the shaft with heavy duty foil tape to seal the furnace/duct.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Nothing here

fits perfectly with GE Monogram

This is definitely OEM. There are great installation videos on the internet. The only catch is that some GE models are slightly different, so the videos may differ slightly, but it's very easy to understand.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Has problems

AVOID. works, but only for a very short time.

While this part works, mine only lasted 18 months before rusting and punctures (see photo). The originals lasted 8 years and I've heard people write that replacements should last at least 5 years. But it's obvious that it's made of inferior material and won't even last 2 years. If you buy one, be prepared to buy several and change them frequently. I contacted the seller and despite the circumstances they refused to replace it. So if you buy it anyway, buy it somewhere else.

Pros
  • Certified

  • There are new competitors

Seems to work

My old part was terribly rusted and had a large hole in it, worse than the photo below. I don't think it was ever properly tipped to drain the water. This part wasn't too difficult to replace yourself. I took the advice of other reviewers and treated it with cold galvanized paint before installing it. My refrigerator works better now. Hope this lasts long. By the way, I will never buy a GE machine again. My GE profile that came with the house has had some issues over the past few years. Other…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Works as a replacement part, must be aluminum rather than galvanized steel.

I don't understand why this part is made of galvanized metal and not aluminum which would not rust. This part is definitely, damn, definitely, it just has to rust from being soaked in water a lot. If it fails, you either face a significant amount of DIY work or a support call for a replacement. Despite this, the replacement part works as intended and will continue to work until it rusts. Would give five stars if it was aluminum. The refrigerator is functional again, there are no more puddles on

Pros
  • Easy-to-read control panel
Cons
  • The list is getting long.
