Review on Enhanced Intex Prestige Downy Airbed Kit: Queen Size with Convenient Hand Held Battery Pump by Eric Weber

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Says "have " to "(!?!) settle down for 2-3 days ", i.e. postpone the deployment in the tent?

Good , For starters, the pump doesn't seem powerful enough to fill this queen mattress. Filling with the quick-fill pump took about 10 minutes. (Even if you're expecting an alternative to type-C batteries, there aren't any.) It requires 6 type-C batteries, as described. (If the mattress is ok, I'd recommend buying a pump other than the one for the reasons efficiency and cost of replacement batteries comes with the kit.) Second, assuming I'm the cause of the problem, I've read the instructions for both the pump and mattress. IN WHAT WORLD do you have to constantly inflate a mattress until it "sags, usually in 2-3 nights" (!?!) when you go camping? Maybe it would be nice to mention it in the description! Full disclosure, this will be my first night and luckily I'm indoors and not in my tent so I'll give the stars a positive rating for holding the air. I have to say that I expected a lot more from Intex. The coating feels normal, not hard or brittle, so I'm happy with that at least for now.

Pros
  • Includes a battery operated pump (powered by 6 C size batteries; not included) that can also be used with other inflatables 3-in-1 valve has an extra wide opening for quick inflation and deflation
Cons
  • Quality
