Better than the original. Use the SILICONE to slip through the firewall.
The original hood cover on my 2009 Tacoma broke at the latch joint. This one is reinforced at this point, so it should be stronger. I'm grateful for a previous review that suggested spraying silicone on the cable to get it through the firewall as it doesn't get through until I spray it.
