    Fits 98 1500 in shift cable

    Side by side it was safe on a 98 Chevy 1500 short bed single cab with 305. Other related items need replacing but at least I can drive it now .

    Worked great. Cheaper than the dealer for the same part, one star per install just because they don't work on older Chevy trucks. Rocker, carpet and driver's seat need to be brought out for the cable routing, not for the product. truck problem. Rusty bolts and screws. Good product

    This product is suitable for 90% of people who need it. In my case, maybe not. This is my second car on my truck in two years. The one we bought last year started preventing the truck from going into the valley. If I set it any other way, I wouldn't be able to park the truck. My guess is that the cable housing either stretches or wears out at the bends. Most users of this product will probably never encounter this problem.     Great cable - why we need it.

    This worked on my 1998 Chevy Tahoe LS. After driving on July 4th, we drove through deep forests, back roads and deep water/mud pits. We had an issue with our truck (it's old) and won't shift out of Park, R, N, D, 1, 2, 3 or the back. Luckily for us the little kids showed up and showed my husband how to manually put it into drive mode and we took the beast home straight away.     Nice item but be careful when digging in

    Great item but no installation instructions. They really aren't needed, it's pretty obvious what should happen for instillation. The only advice I can give is to make sure the rail is positioned under the carpet so that you don't pinch the cable when tightening the seatback. I did so and immediately identified the problem and fixed it before damage occurred to the end of the steering or the cable itself. The one I replaced was only a year old and was pinched causing a very tight shift and the…
