Cables That Work - Cables

We have a Ford van at work and they are here for it. They are a great replacement for the originals. It wasn't the easiest task, but the beginner coped with it.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Clarity

The door handle works. Lucky woman!

89 Ford E150 Van, side door. Very important. Cheaper than at the dealer and the same product. The cables fit perfectly. Installation was the hardest part.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Exterior

Ford E150 Door Wire

fit perfectly, doors working again. Let's see how long they last, the original had the same plastic connectors but for $20 and a little help it was worth it.

Pros
  • Quality build
Cons
  • Secret

Fits 1993 Ford Econoline E250 van

Fits my 1993 Ford Econoline E250 van. But I had to use tie wire to hold the ends of these cable jackets in place. So they don't show up. Otherwise they work great.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Functionality

wrong cable - cable

short cable was right, long cable didn't fit. 04 Ford E350 Super Duty. The long rope should have a ball at both ends instead of a barrel and hook system. had to use a short cable to get the door working so can't go back until I find the correct cables. Update they fixed the problem and sent the correct one. changed the ranking because how a company solves problems will always be the main factor in the business.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Useless features

This will repair the rear left door on the Ford Excursion barn.

I ordered them to repair the left rear door on a 2001 Ford Excursion. Watch the video on YouTube, the installation is very simple. Yes, it's physically a little longer than a Ford cable, but the tension in the cable is the same, so it operates the locking mechanism. The only issue I had was that the end where the pressure clip attaches had to be opened up a bit with a file, razor blade etc to get the clamp to slip, but then it was secured. I'll leave a longer one to fix the right hand barn door

Pros
  • Heavy Duty Finish
Cons
  • Damaged

not the best quality, lasts about a year. Update 11 months to failure

UPDATE 2019. Took almost a year before the plastic broke and the cord was dangling and the door wouldn't open anymore. The plastic used is of very poor quality. The original plastic Fords lasted 18 years, but these lasted 11 months. I would recommend going to an OE Ford or going to an aluminum eyelet which a lot of people do. I decided to replace the ends with alum and see how they hold up. because the faulty part of these cables are the plastic latches on the ends. I really hope that the alum…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
