I've tried three brands of washable nursing pads and several disposable pads and they are by far the best over the long term (kushies have an uncomfortable seam). Babykicks also makes a flannel kit, but over time the jersey will wear down and soften. I've never had any problems with frizz and have always put them in the dryer - they come out perfectly flat (otherwise every brand dries hard and uncomfortable when air dried). After 5 months of use, mine are wearing fine (like your favorite soft cotton t-shirt that has been washed a million times). Some people complain that they need to be washed 5-6 times to get soft - you'll end up washing them hundreds of times depending on how many days I can wash in an hour (after having had some water). wet, I throw them in the laundry basket). If you're not breastfeeding yet, buy a few sets and simply wash them after each wash and they'll be in great condition until your baby is born. The disposables I couldn't even wear for 15 minutes were so uncomfortable plus they made crackling plastic noises.
