Not worth it at all

I have to say I was extremely dissatisfied with this mic. The audio quality is so bad that I wasn't even sure if it worked. I had to download an audio source test app onto my phone to make sure what I was hearing was audio from that mic and not the internal phone mic. Thanks to this app, I was able to verify that it actually sounds worse than the microphone that was built into my mid-range Android phone a year and a half ago. I used the mic to record some videos and thought I was doing something wrong because the sound was so bad, but no, it's the mic. I've tried other microphones and gotten much better results. To clarify what I mean by poor audio quality. I clipped the mic to my shirt a reasonable distance from my face, but it sounded almost the same as the audio on my phone at about five feet. He often skipped parts of speech, especially at the higher end of the audio spectrum. The audio also sounded like it was electronically compressed, it had that empty computer quality you get when calling on a cellphone with low signal strength. So it ends up being cheap, but be aware that the microphone built into your phone or tablet is significantly better (or at least no worse) than this. Wouldn't recommend it.
