I've used the 4" diameter of this product with some large-size. silicone muffin 'top' pans. (I opt to make the large muffin 'tops' rather than the whole muffin.) The 4" version of this product was good but din't quite cover the complete cavity. These 5" versions can be easily pressed into the 3/8" deep cavity and thereby create a sort of muffin wrapper. These make the clean-out of the silicon trays much simpler (i.e. not required. I've found them to be quite beneficial.
