good for hurricane prep
we bought it for hurricane prep as I live in Florida. We didn't want to use our cell phone to get updates when the power went out and if the cell tower went down you would be left in the dark. I like that it has plenty of range for the radio and it can also be turned on when the battery is needed. We probably won't use the flashlight itself as it consumes a lot of battery. We have other options for lighting, but that's good to eat in case we need it.
