This is a good spoon, but not strong enough to withstand heavy use for a long time. The grip isn't as comfortable as we'd like and doesn't pick up small bits, they get sifted through. It is designed to capture ALL particles, small and large, without much sieving. It's strong too, which helps as one of my kittens is quite large. Although the SmartCat Shovel is fairly durable, it is not as durable as the Litter Lifter. You might want to spend a little more to get a more durable product that will pull out all the particles and last a long time.
