This enclosure supports an 8TB NVME PCIe drive and delivers speeds of up to 900Mbps with a standard USB-C connection. If you put a heatsink on an SSD, you can't cover the aluminum case, you have to use the inside with an outer heatsink. It's actually much better outdoors as the aluminum case generates more heat and reduces performance, so I use it outdoors with a cool heatsink covering the SSD and helping with the temperatures. I've bought a few cases and this one was the best in terms of performance. Other more expensive ones were very dim or didn't work at all.
