Review on ACDelco Professional Water Pump Kit (Part Number 252-629) by Bomba Ton

Appears to be a good new water pump but will not fit all 4.2L Jeep Wrangler applications. This will only work if your 4.2L has a V-belt driven water pump WITHOUT an integrated heater hose. If your pump has a screw connection for connecting the heating hose and is also driven by a V-ribbed belt, this should be the right application. I have learned from experience that this will not fit my 87 YJ which had a heater hose fitting made as part of the water pump casting. I've tried to find a hose fitting at all local hardware stores and hardware stores to no avail. The problem is that the female fitting on this casting is 3/8" and the heater hose is 3/4". I have found some fittings that screw into 3/8" NPT, but they only make this fitting for 1/2" heater hoses. The pump does not come with a fitting fitting and after wasting about 5 hours of my time I finally thought I should send it back and order a pump that comes with a built in heater hose.
