I was hesitant before purchasing this item, but after reading so many good reviews, I'm glad I decided to buy it! I have a miniature dachshund that weighs 8 kg. Little Doodles is my fourth child, he's with us everywhere and this is such a cool tote basket! He DIRECTLY DATING and enjoying every second! Plenty of slack and seat belts prevented him from jumping out without strangling him. It's well done! It took me a while to install the handlebar post. I used a drill to make sure everything was secure. The instructions were easy to read. :) Very very happy with this purchase. EDIT*** After using this product for the second time I have changed my rating from 5 stars to 3 stars. My second bike ride with my dog resulted in damage to the basket harnesses which broke after less than 25 minutes of use. Accessories in this part of the cart - rubbish! Not only that, but the few times I hit SMALL bumps in the road, my tire hit the bottom of the basket's very thin plastic fabric and broke. I need to find something to put on the ground to prevent further erosion of my tire while driving. I also had to tighten the screws holding the basket to the mounting piece. My dog is only 8 pounds, if your dog weighs more it could be a much bigger problem as it puts more weight on the basket and causes more damage. I need to purchase additional items to make this product safer for my dog and to ensure this basket will last long enough to be worth the money invested. I've added higher quality hardware to the grips and I'm sure it will work much better.
