I was looking for a better accounting tool to replace QuickBooks, and decided to give cashflow a try. The first thing I noticed was that the installation was incredibly easy and took less than 10 minutes. After that I went ahead and created my company file, added products, accounts receivable, accounts payable, customer invoices, credit cards, notes receivable, notes payable, payroll and tax reports. The rest of the process was quick and easy. Once everything was set up, I imported our previous QuickBooks data. At this point, I didn't realize that there would be another step, but I had already made a mistake. In the "import" section of the setup, I selected the option to import the previous company file, but I didn't select the "merge with current file". This resulted in duplicate entries in my cashflow database, and it wasn't until later that I realized this. Fortunately, the error was easy to correct. Overall, I'm impressed with the speed of setting up cashflow, the ease of use and the amount of information provided. The interface is well organized and easy to navigate. When I'm working, I feel confident knowing that I can view any account from any place.
